Arch Casing Express

At Arch Casing Express we build arch casing for windows and doors. We use only premium woods selected to give you the best product possible.

How do we build them?
   We use one piece of wood if possible, mitre and glue joints in symetrical intervals to produce the general shape of the desired piece, we then shape the profile onto the wood. After that we sand the wood to 120 grit finish, package and ship them to you for installation and finishing.

How do other's build them?
   Many other companies will take many strips of wood, apply glue, then clamp the pieces around the shape desired. Then they will complete the process the same as ours.

What's the difference?
   The difference is when using the "other's" method, the result is, it looks like many strips of wood glued together where you loose much of the look of real wood, "the micro-lam look". Also another problem that may arise is springback. Springback is when after they remove the clamps the wood wants to go back to its original position making a moore true match to your existing opening less likely. A third Issue with using there method is the ends are not cut square at the ends. They usually let them run long at the ends so you have to cut them which adds the chance of cutting to far up past the level plain into the radius, and also the extra installation time.
   
Ours is Better!
   Ours on the other hand, maintain there shape giving you a nice even reveal. The wood grain is preserved giving you the real look and feel that you want, and there is no cutting, just nail up the piece and butt the leg pieces to it. You may have to adjust you're leg pieces just a little.
